PEACE BOOK

Your Peace Book must be typed.

COVER :      Put the title, your name, and the due date on the cover. You MUST also design it with symbols, pictures, clipart, or quotations on peace. No drawings! It should be neat and attractive.

PAGE 1:       DEDICATION PAGE    On page one you should write the words Dedicated to and then put the name of one person or a few people to whom you wish to dedicate your work. Explain WHY you wish to dedicate this book to this person(s). You must include pictures, symbols, or clipart on this page.

PAGE 2:        DEFINITONS OF PEACE  Compose three of your own definitions of peace, for example: "Peace is knowing you have been kind to someone" or "Peace is seeing my dad smile at me when I clean my room without being told." You must include pictures, symbols, or clipart on this page.

PAGE 3&4: QUOTATIONS ON PEACE            Choose two quotations on peace. These may be from the Bible or from books of quotations. You may also use quotations from posters or appropriate song lyrics. Write each quotation and then EXPLAIN (a minimum of three sentences for each quotation) what it means to you. Put quotation marks and identify from whom the quote is taken from.  You must include pictures, symbols, or clipart on this page.

PAGE 5&6: PEACE AND OTHERS        This is a very important section. For this you will need to spend some time thinking about how you have brought peace and joy to others and how you plan to continue bringing peace and joy to them. Listed are four topics, but you need only do two. Your explanation on each topic should be a well developed paragraph or more. The topics are:

                        I.   Bringing Peace to Myself

                        II.  Bringing Peace to My Family (You could consider just one parent, a

                            brother, a sister, or another relative in this section.)

                        III. Bringing Peace to My Friends

                        IV. Bringing Peace to the World (This is a challenging one!)

Again, for this section be sure to include pictures, symbols, or clipart to illustrate your idea.

REMINDERS:

• Ø Any font, size & color (no yellow or light green), may be used throughout your book.
• Ø This Peace Book will count as a TEST grade in religion.
• Ø Points will be deducted for late projects.
• Ø Page numbers must be included at the bottom of each page.
• Ø Use spell check!
• Ø Print Peace Book only one time!
